Why all our wines are vegan

Many wine lovers are surprised to learn that traditional winemaking often uses animal-derived products to clarify the wine: isinglass (fish bladders), gelatin, egg whites or milk protein.

At Absolute Organic Wine, every wine we sell is vegan, clarified only with plant-based or mineral alternatives such as bentonite clay. We choose producers who share our commitment to sustainable, cruelty-free winemaking, and every delivery leaves Draperstown in plastic-free packaging.

Questions we're often asked

Do you supply the trade?

Yes. We supply retailers, hotels and restaurants, and we are the official Lussory distributor for Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Can I visit?

Yes. Come to The Wine Centre in Draperstown for shopping, tastings and wine classes. Tours and tastings are by arrangement.

Who are Absolute Organic Wine?

An independent, family-run wine merchant at The Wine Centre, 12-14 High Street, Draperstown, Co. Derry, trading since 2016.

What do you sell?

Certified organic, biodynamic, natural and vegan wines from independent European winemakers, plus alcohol-free and 0.0% wines.

Are your wines vegan?

Yes. Every wine we sell is made without animal products. Some also carry vegan certification; the rest are vegan by method but not certified.

Where do you deliver?

Across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain. All deliveries are eco-friendly and plastic-free, and free on orders over £100.
