Lussory Organic Non Alcoholic Chardonnay, Spain

Chardonnay is the great chameleon among grapes, taking on the character of wherever and however it is made, which makes it a sensible choice for an alcohol-free white. Lussory ferments it in Spain as a normal wine from organically grown grapes, then removes the alcohol under vacuum at the very end.

It is deep gold in the glass, with pineapple, mango and melon and a light touch of hazelnut. It is softer and less acidic than most conventional Chardonnay, and that suits it. Alcohol usually carries a white wine's weight; here the fruit does the work instead. Serve it well chilled, as an aperitif or with lighter dishes.
