With a fresh and harmonious nose, this wine presents notes of black fruits, blackcurrant, and blackberry, accompanied by hints of spice, cinnamon, and liquorice. As it is enjoyed at a temperature of 16°C, it reveals its smooth and silky tannins, making it a perfect pairing for vegan Gascon dishes, and exotic cuisines such as couscous and tagines.
In Madiran, the winemakers are experts in creating wines that accurately reflect the original grape variety, Tannat. The unique character of this wine is shaped by the admirable men and women of the vineyard, spanning three departments. Despite preconceived notions, Domaine Sergent proves that women have a significant role in the production process. Brigitte and Corinne Dousseau, heirs of the family estate, have been passionately crafting wine for 20 years, carrying on their father Gilbert's legacy. Their wines are meticulously cared for and aged, with a touch of femininity that sets them apart.
